Fox10 highlights Centennial Cardinals

Collage of Fox10 News visiting Centennial Elementary
Fox10's Cory McCluskey made a visit Dec. 14 to Centennial Elementary School. Students from several grade levels cheered  to welcome the television personality. Centennial's Peer Mediators put together a "mannequin challenge" to showcase what they do on campus and how they help students. One of their advisors, Amanda Day, shared additional information about the program.

McCluskey also spoke with Principal Rachel Broadley, who shared information about the campus and how Centennial is an A+ School of Excellence. The recognition is given to schools for achieving high academic achievement and attaining a good level of relationships with their community and staff. Because of this honor, three Centennial teachers are serving as co-grand marshals of the Fiesta Bowl Parade (along with about 20 other A+ teachers from across the state).

McCloskey spoke with teacher Krystal Smith about this recognition since she is one of the teachers participating.

As the camera filmed across the group of students, Fox10 also featured the Centennial cheerleaders, part of the Higley Youth Sports League program.
