  • Sossaman Middle School to welcome incoming 7th grader families

At Sossaman Middle School, we believe success starts with making connections long before your son or daughter begin academic instruction.  As your child begins the transition from elementary to middle school, we extend an invitation for you to visit our campus on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m.

This open house, coupled with an informational session from staff and students, will outline upcoming course registrations, discuss our curriculum, and share the campus philosophy of Respect and Accountability.

Tours will be student led by our National Junior Honor Society and Student Council representatives, providing valuable insight into what it's like to be a Sossaman Spartan.

Presentations - including a Q&A panel - will begin at both 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., with school tours happening simultaneously.  Parents and students alike are encouraged to attend as we set the stage for a successful 2017-2018 school year.

  • Parents of 2017/18 7-12th graders

Students who will be in middle school and high school during the 2017-18 school year will make course selections online in January. Parents and guardians need to be sure they have a ParentVue account to help with this new process. ParentVue also allows families to see student grades and attendance information.

To obtain a ParentVue account, call your school office when they reopen on Jan. 9, after winter break.

About Power Ranch

Welcome to Power Ranch Elementary

We’re so glad you’ve joined us! Our teachers and staff welcome your children with open arms, providing a nurturing environment and the building blocks for a solid academic foundation. Power Ranch encourages students’ exploration and learning while challenging them to grow to their full potential.

Power Ranch Elementary is a neighborhood school that serves approximately 700 students with over 350 parent volunteers. Majority of our students live in Power Ranch and approximately 10 percent of our student population is open enrolled and live outside of our attendance area.

Power Ranch’s academic strength lies in our balance and integrated curricular program. Children master and apply literacy and mathematic skills through learning that emphasizes research, problem solving, simulations and technology. The instructional program does not end with the acquisition of discrete skills, but goes on to teach the use of those skills in higher-level problem solving.

The social and emotional development of our children is of utmost importance to the Power Ranch community. The Power Ranch staff takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming, and safe learning environment where all children are accepted.

We believe success starts here and our goal is to build a solid foundation for lifetime of success. This belief is incorporated into every learning and social experience at Power Ranch.

Welcome home!
