Dear Centennial families and community members,
It is with great pride and gratitude to be your new assistant principal and entrusted with the responsibilities of continuing a tradition of educational excellence within the Higley Unified school district.
My name is Matthew Verville and I am excited to begin the 2016/2017 school year with all of you. I truly look forward to meeting everyone who makes Centennial Elementary a wonderful place to learn, work, and belong to. The amazing culture of Centennial’s campus has been created by our parents and students, leadership team, and the talented educators that dedicate themselves every day to ensuring a high academic learning environment. I feel fortunate to be able to work alongside these incredible people and share in their passion of providing an education that is engaging, enriching, and inspiring.
Over the past six years as a Higley employee, I understand the importance and value in creating strong professional relationships. I will work hard to earn your trust and promise to maintain and continue the traditions that have made Centennial who they are and that of which they envision for our future. I hope that together we will continue to develop as a school that is student focused, collaborative, and works hard to reaching our highest potential.
Personally, I am a lucky husband of 9 years and proud father of a 16-year-old daughter. I am originally from New England and have a passion for sports, fitness, and the outdoors. I am a graduate of both Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University, where I received my graduate degree. I enjoy cooking, art, and lounging with our dog, Daisy.
I look forward to working with you and your students this year, in what looks to be another amazing year at Centennial.
