Students experiencing homelessness have certain rights protected under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Immediate enrollment in school regardless of proof of residence
- Free breakfast and lunch at school
- Transportation to and from school (if feasible and in the best interest of the student)
